Our TYPO3 to WordPress migration service works in three stages: first we audit your TYPO3 installation and rebuild your site in WordPress, replacing TypoScript templates with a modern, maintainable WordPress theme. Then we run a bespoke migration script to extract your content elements and page tree and map them correctly into WordPress. Finally, we run a full QA pass and only go live once you have reviewed and signed the site off.
Rebuilding Your Site Without The TypoScript Dependency
We audit your TYPO3 installation first: content element types, page tree structure, any custom TypoScript and extensions in use. From there we build your new WordPress site, matching your existing design and replacing any TYPO3-specific functionality with WordPress equivalents. The goal is a site your team can actually edit without a developer.
Content Mapping
TYPO3 exports content element data from its database in a format that doesn’t map directly to WordPress. We write a bespoke migration script that reads your TYPO3 content elements — text blocks, images, files, rich text — and maps each type into the correct WordPress fields, preserving your page hierarchy and internal links throughout.
Testing & Going Live
Once the site is built and content migrated, we run a full QA pass: every page, every content element, every image and downloadable file checked against your original. We set up 301 redirects for any URL changes, verify SEO metadata is in place, and test all forms and integrations. We only go live once you’ve reviewed and signed off the new site. After launch, we offer ongoing WordPress support if you need it.

Is your TYPO3 to WordPress migration staged on a separate environment before touching your live site? A TYPO3 database migration carries real risk if not properly staged. Your existing site should remain live and untouched throughout.
Have all TYPO3 content element types (text, images, files, embedded media) been correctly migrated into WordPress, with the page tree rebuilt and internal links updated?
Does your WordPress site have the same design and functionality? Check that all functionality works as it should, it could be different on WordPress
Is your newly migrated site fully mobile responsive? If it wasn’t before, should it be now?
Use view page source by right clicking with your mouse on a page or post to check that the meta data is correct and matches your old site
Ensure that you are using the correct domain prefix, if you are using www on your old website, your new site on WordPress should do the same
Check that any scripts used for marketing, analytics or embedding third party services have been placed in the correct place on your new WordPress website, or these services may break
