We start by rebuilding your blog in WordPress, replicating the design, layout and structure of your Typepad site. This includes matching your theme’s typography and colours, and making sure your category structure and archives are set up correctly from the start.
Content Mapping
We use Typepad’s export file to extract your posts, pages, comments and categories, then map everything into the correct locations in WordPress. Comment threads are one of Typepad’s strengths, and we make sure they migrate intact alongside the posts they belong to.

Have all Typepad posts, pages and comment threads migrated correctly into WordPress, with categories, slugs and author information intact?
Does your WordPress site have the same design and functionality? Check that all functionality works as it should, it could be different on WordPress
Is your newly migrated site fully mobile responsive? If it wasn’t before, should it be now?
Use view page source by right clicking with your mouse on a page or post to check that the meta data is correct and matches your old site
Ensure that you are using the correct domain prefix, if you are using www on your old website, your new site on WordPress should do the same
Check that any scripts used for marketing, analytics or embedding third party services have been placed in the correct place on your new WordPress website, or these services may break
