IT Technical Salesperson Apprenticeship Level 3

We are hiring a IT Technical Salesperson Apprentice as part of the government backed Apprenticeship Scheme.

This is a 100% remote role. You will be working with us through Zoom, Slack and our project management tools. There is no physical attendance required, so we are open to applicants from across the UK regardless of location.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in sales and digital. We are selling a technical service so an understanding of web development, WordPress and associated technologies will be key to your success.

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided, but we do need someone with the right background who can learn and pick up the below at a good pace. If you do have any experience with the below that is a big plus!

What You'll Learn

Alongside the training you will accrue during your IT Techincal Salesperson Level 3 Apprenticeship, you will learn even more on the job.

We have a structured training programme to teach you everything you need to know to be a successful salesperson. You will progress through industry accredited training courses as well as build and manage your own pipeline of new business. Throughout the process you’ll have access to and learn:

What's Expected Of You

Your primary responsibility will be to build a pipeline of new business alongside James, the owner.

This will include prospecting, lead generation, managing a CRM system, networking, relationship building, proposal creation and eventually closing your own deals as you gain experience on the job. As you grow into the role, you will take full ownership of your own pipeline of new business, locating new business opportunities and moving them through the sales pipeline.

You will learn the entire B2B sales process from end to end as you progress through structured training and work alongside the owner of the business.

We’re looking for someone who is hungry and motivated to make a successful career in sales, but also someone who tempers this with integrity and values. We don’t believe in overpromising and underdelivering to our customers. Most importantly you’ll need to be independent and able to hit targets.

In return, you will receive high quality training and become a highly skilled salesperson. Previous hires the owner has worked with have gone on to work in senior sales positions at large technology companies such as Trustpilot, and into head of sales roles.

Contracted Hours

This role is for 30 hours per week at the national apprenticeship wage. On top of this, you will be paid commission from the get go to supplement your income on any sales you help generate for the business.

The contracted hours are Monday to Friday – 9 to 3pm.

Square Internet is a small WordPress agency based in Norwich, Norfolk.

Home of Alan Partridge and Radio Norfolk, Norwich is a quiet little city on the East coast of the country (people rarely know where we are).

It’s full of small independent shops, and for some reason pink footed geese (who we love), who can be found frequenting the various riverside hotspots throughout the city. Seriously, here’s one of our friends below!

However you don’t have to live here to work with us as this role is remote, though are you missing out on the cool geese.

We’re looking for someone who is a clear communicator, independent and able to figure things out for themselves. We’re a small business, so it’s important you can use your initiative and some Googling where necessary.

We don’t work with clients who don’t share that philosophy, and we don’t expect our team members to live and breathe for their jobs.
