Why Move From HubSpot To WordPress?
HubSpot CMS was built to sell HubSpot’s marketing suite, not to power independent websites. These are the four reasons most HubSpot users make the switch to WordPress.
Lower licensing costs
HubSpot CMS Hub starts at $360 a month and scales to over $1,200. For most businesses, that’s a significant ongoing cost for a CMS, especially once you’re no longer using HubSpot for email marketing or CRM. WordPress is effectively free, and runs on standard hosting for a fraction of the price.
A huge plugin ecosystem
WordPress has over 60,000 plugins covering everything from SEO and forms to e-commerce and bookings. HubSpot’s ecosystem is much more limited outside of its own marketing tools, meaning features that are a free or low-cost plugin in WordPress often require bespoke development on HubSpot.
Easier day-to-day editing
Most teams find WordPress far more intuitive to update than HubSpot’s CMS editor. Your marketing team can edit pages, publish posts and swap images themselves, with no proprietary drag-and-drop system to learn and no HubSpot subscription required just to make a change to your website.
A bigger community & support pool
WordPress powers over 40% of the web, with help available everywhere: documentation, tutorials, forums and agencies. HubSpot CMS is a much smaller ecosystem with fewer independent developers. You’re never locked in to a single supplier, and finding skilled WordPress developers is easy, wherever you look.

How it works
How Does Our HubSpot To WordPress Migration Service Work?
Migrating from HubSpot to WordPress is about more than moving pages. It means rebuilding your landing pages, forms and blog in WordPress so that everything which drove leads on HubSpot continues to work the same way in your new setup.
Replicating Your HubSpot Layouts In WordPress
We begin by rebuilding your HubSpot site’s design in WordPress, recreating your landing page layouts, blog templates and any conversion-focused page structures your team relies on. Your forms are rebuilt using a WordPress form plugin so lead capture works from day one. We recommend Elementor for most builds, though we can work with whichever framework suits your team.
Content Mapping
Getting HubSpot content into WordPress cleanly is where most DIY migrations go wrong. HubSpot stores pages, blog posts and landing pages in a proprietary structure that doesn’t map directly to WordPress. We build a bespoke import script for your site, correctly mapping each HubSpot content type to the right structure in WordPress, so nothing ends up in the wrong place and no content goes missing.
Testing & Going Live
Before we go live, we run thorough QA across all page types: checking that forms submit correctly, blog posts are indexed properly, landing page URLs redirect as expected and no HubSpot-specific embed code is left broken. We confirm all canonical tags and meta data are correctly carried over, and only cut over once you’ve signed off. We’re available for ongoing WordPress support going forward.
Our customers rate us EXCELLENT.

Pre-launch checklist
HubSpot to WordPress Migration Checklist
Is your migration running on a staging environment so your live HubSpot site stays accessible to visitors throughout? Staging is where you verify form submissions, page layouts and lead flows before anything goes live.
Have all HubSpot blog posts, landing pages and pillar pages been correctly imported, with the right URLs, meta descriptions and featured images?
Does your WordPress site have the same design and functionality? Check that all functionality works as it should, it could be different on WordPress
Is your newly migrated site fully mobile responsive? If it wasn’t before, should it be now?
Use view page source by right clicking with your mouse on a page or post to check that the meta data is correct and matches your old site
Ensure that you are using the correct domain prefix, if you are using www on your old website, your new site on WordPress should do the same
Check that any scripts used for marketing, analytics or embedding third party services have been placed in the correct place on your new WordPress website, or these services may break
Frequently asked questions about HubSpot to WordPress migrations
Your forms are rebuilt in WordPress using a dedicated form plugin such as WPForms or Gravity Forms. HubSpot’s native form builder can’t be directly imported, but we replicate all fields, notifications and confirmation messages so lead capture continues without interruption. If you were routing submissions to HubSpot’s CRM, we can wire up your new WordPress forms to connect to your CRM of choice.
No — protecting your search visibility is one of the main reasons to migrate properly. We preserve your existing URL structure, page titles and meta data, and put any required 301 redirects in place so that link equity carries over. This is exactly where automated tools fall down, and exactly where a hand-built migration protects you.
No. We build and test your new WordPress site on a separate staging environment, completely away from your live site and your customers. Your current HubSpot site stays online and untouched the entire time. We only switch over to the new website once it has been fully tested and signed off by you.
No. Automated tools are unreliable and struggle even with the simplest sites. They routinely mangle content, site structure and meta data. We write a bespoke script that maps your HubSpot pages and content types to the correct fields in WordPress, so pages, posts, images and meta data all land in the right place. Your new site is then built on top.
We can work with whichever framework you’re comfortable with. For most clients we recommend Elementor as the most cost-effective and easy-to-maintain option, but if you prefer Gutenberg, a custom theme or another builder, we’re happy to build to that.
Every site is different, so we price each migration individually based on the number of templates, the volume of content and the complexity of functionality. Most projects fall between the £2,000 to £5,000 range. Fill in the form below with a link to your current site and we’ll get back in touch to provide a quote.
Due to our thorough testing process, your site will go live seamlessly. However, we will be on hand to assist should any teething issues arise, and many clients choose to move onto one of our ongoing WordPress maintenance plans for updates, backups, security and support.
